CHHSM Annual Meeting

Save the date for CHHSM's 73rd Annual Meeting, March 3-6, 2011 at the Westin Crown Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Our special guest will be the Rev. Geoffrey Black, General Minister and President of the United Church of Christ.

Look for the meeting theme and schedule in the coming months, and anticipate energizing innovations and new ways for CHHSM leaders to be together for nurturing, support and respite. Kansas City, a surprising and vibrant city, will be an excellent venue for our meeting. Several CHHSM members are nearby, including ECH's Steppingstone, Blue Springs Terrace, Brewster Place (Topeka, KS) and two Lifelink housing facilities.

The Hallmark Crown Center, connected to the meeting hotel, is the city's finest cultural, business and entertainment venue, with more than 36 shops and 27 restaurants and lounges. More than a dozen restaurants are within walking distance of the Crown Center and Kansas City's famous Country Club Plaza and Power & Light District are a short cab ride away. Don't be surprised if Kansas City's world-renowned barbeque is on the meeting menu!

In 2009, the Westin Crown Center completed a beautiful $10 million renovation of its 729 guest rooms. The hotel offers comfortable meeting rooms, a huge Reebok fitness center, tennis courts, an outdoor heated pool and an indoor whirlpool. The entire hotel staff prides itself on its impeccable four diamond service. The Westin is directly connected to Science City and the attractions of Union Station via the Link, a glass skybridge. The room rate for our meeting will be a reasonable $129 per night.

CHHSM's Annual Meeting is held every year in March.

In 2010, CHHSM members gathered in Grand Rapids, Michigan for the 72nd Annual Meeting, Sustaining Stewardship: People, Money and God's Creation.
