Luncheon Speaker: Elizabeth M. George
Vice President, Deaconess Foundation

Elizabeth George joined Deaconess Foundation as vice president in April 2004 from The Rensselaerville Institute (TRI) where she provided consulting and training services to not-for-profits and their funding bodies. Prior to TRI she spent 9 years at Washington University, first as Assistant Dean of Admissions at the George Warren Brown School of Social Work (GWB) followed by 2 years as Director of the Arts & Sciences Career Center.

Elizabeth is active in the St. Louis community, currently volunteering at Flynn Park Elementary School, contributing to the GWB Alumni Board and belonging to St. Francis Xavier (College) Church. Elizabeth's educational background includes an MBA from Harvard University and an MSW from GWB.

Daniel PryfogleDaniel Pryfogle
Director of Consulting Services, CHHSM

Daniel Pryfogle manages Walking the Talk as CHHSM's director of consulting services. For more than 15 years, he has provided innovative leadership to nonprofit organizations in senior housing and healthcare, education, advocacy, children's services, and community development. Daniel uses narrative and asset-based approaches to assist organizations with corporate discernment, leadership development, program planning, marketing and communications.

Prior to launching his consulting practice in 1999, Daniel managed the communications of senior housing and healthcare provider American Baptist Homes of the West and its subsidiary consulting firm Seniority, Inc. He frequently leads workshops and retreats, and has shared his perspectives on leadership and communications with a variety of groups. A former newspaper editor and an ordained American Baptist minister, Daniel teaches in the Duke University Certificate Program in Nonprofit Management and the Faith-Based Leadership Institute, CHHSM's Diakonal Minister Credential Program. Daniel earned his master of divinity degree from American Baptist Seminary of the West and his bachelor's degree in English from California Baptist College.

Rebecca WilsonRebecca Wilson
Director of Marketing and Communications, CHHSM

Rebecca Wilson consults with non-profit and public sector organizations in strategic communications and grantseeking. She has fifteen years of experience in non-profit and corporate work and specializes in projects that serve progressive communities of faith and children.

As an independent consultant since 2000, Rebecca has sought awareness and funding for projects in many non-profit and public areas. She manages organizational communications for several long-term clients, including CHHSM, and has coordinated coverage with print and electronic media across the United States and in several foreign countries. She has also managed and written many successful funding proposals to federal agencies and major regional and national foundations.

Rebecca holds a B.A. in English from Duke University and an M.A. in English from Kent State University.
