Charles Hall Youth Services’ Styles-Rohde Named Woman of the Year by Bismarck-Mandan BPW

Rhonda Styles-Rohde

The Bismarck-Mandan Business & Professional Women’s Club (BPW) of Bismarck, N.D., announced May 17 that Rhonda Styles-Rohde is the 2019 recipient of its Woman of the Year Award. Styles-Rohde is director of marketing and communications for UCC-related Charles Hall Youth Services.

The award is designed to honor a local business and professional woman that has distinguished herself both in her career and in the community. The nominees must be from the Bismarck-Mandan community, perform notable service contributions to our community through volunteer and service work, and must serve as a role model/mentor for other women.

In her work with Charles Hall, Styles-Rohde advocates for her organization, helping to ensure that the children who are served get as many opportunities as possible in the community. “Rhonda works tirelessly to carry out the mission of Charles Hall, and understands this mission is not just 8-5 — and will work whenever is needed to carry this out,” reads the announcement from Bismarck-Mandan BPW.

In addition to her work with Charles Hall, Styles-Rohde also is involved in the Bismarck community. She is past president of Bis-Man Stilettos, a service organization in which the members volunteer on projects with a variety of nonprofits, and where members are required to have a certain number of service hours each year. She also is a committee member on The Mercy Box Movement, which chooses a new nonprofit or cause each month and collects donations for them throughout the month. Currently, Styles-Rohde is president of Arts for All, a new nonprofit that offers free art instruction to youth who are at-risk, low-income or have developmental disabilities.

“Rhonda has volunteered her time with numerous other non-profits, including Invisible Innocence, Heaven’s Helpers Soup Café and Ministry on the Margins,” says Sargianna Wutzke, founder and executive director of Arts for All. “To say Rhonda has made an impact is an understatement. Rhonda has the passion for making a difference in her community and does that in so many amazing ways. Rhonda is a giving person who makes a difference in countless people’s lives on a daily basis. [She] is an amazing leader who is not afraid to get dirty and dive into things and make sure what is needed to be done is accomplished.”

“Rhonda is a great role model for all the girls at Charles Hall,” Wutzke adds. “She exemplifies what it is to be a servant leader and helps encourage the kids to give back to their community as well.”
