CHHSM Partners with Annual Gathering Health Screening Sponsor Accushield to Ensure Safety During Event

Out of concern for the health of everyone at CHHSM’s 84th Annual Gathering — to be held March 8-10 in Louisville, Ky. — CHHSM has implemented many COVID-19 safety measures, including partnering with a new health screening sponsor.

Atlanta-based Accushield, the Gathering’s health screening sponsor, will set up easily-accessible health screening kiosks. All attendees will be required to complete daily temperature checks and answer a few health screening questions related to COVID-19 symptoms. The questions will be similar to those asked of patients in doctors’ offices — related to COVID-specific symptoms and contacts with persons who have tested positive. Each day, the screening will be sent via an AccuShield app to a nurse, who will review the responses.

Following CDC guidelines, CHHSM and Accushield have put plans in place if anyone attending the Annual Gathering develops symptoms or tests positive for COVID-19.

In addition to the health screening kiosks, several other protocols are in place for the Annual Gathering. All attendees must be fully vaccinated and boostered, or have an approved religious or medical exemption.

CHHSM strongly recommends that people take a COVID-19 test the day they plan to arrive in Louisville — and will refund registration fees if someone is unable to attend at the last minute due to a COVID-19 infection. Additionally, masks are required at all sessions, and CHHSM highly recommends using a KN-95 or N-95 mask.
