Cedar Community Welcomes New Philanthropy Director

Cedar Community in West Bend, Wis., is pleased to welcome Jennifer Zaskowski as philanthropy director. Zaskowski has a bachelor’s degree in health care administration from Concordia University. She has more than 25 years in the health care field with an extensive background in healthcare administration and business and non-profit development. 

Her past experience includes leadership and organization in development and fundraising initiatives — identifying, cultivating, and soliciting financial gifts at all levels in annual and capital campaigns; collaborating with team leadership to ensure strong community impact and support; over 10 years of grant writing experience; relationship management; strong communication skills; and budgeting skills to perform effective fundraising initiatives.

“When I was called back to serve in the community I live in, I didn’t have to think twice,” said Zaskowski. “I am honored to walk alongside a team of dynamic leaders, dedicated team members, and invested community stakeholders. In partnership, I am eager to help weave the fabric of servant leadership, as it truly takes a village. I look forward to pausing, and taking the time to listen to residents stories and learn from their experiences. As individuals focus on writing their next chapter, I am humbled to help others recognize the needs of today, tomorrow, and the future of our friends and neighbors not only at Cedar Community but our community as a whole.”

As philanthropy director at Cedar Community, Zaskowski will work with the vice president of development to strategize and execute a comprehensive and diversified philanthropy plan that promotes mission achievement and financial sustainability of Cedar Community.
