Lake Prince At Home Earns ‘Premier Performer’ Patient Satisfaction Award
Lake Prince At Home – the home health and hospice program of Lake Prince Woods senior living community in Suffolk, Va., and part of the EveryAge family of communities – has been recognized by Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP) as a “Premier Performer.” This means Lake Prince At Home received an overall patient satisfaction score in the top 5 percent of all eligible home health agencies who are SHP clients for the 2023 calendar year.
The annual SHPBest™ award program was created to acknowledge home health agencies that consistently provide quality service to their patients. The 2023 award recipients were identified through the overall satisfaction scores for more than 3,200 home health providers. SHP conducts a survey with patients called HHCAHPS, or Home Health Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems, throughout the year as they access services. The questions gather key information about a patient’s healthcare experience, including details on healthcare quality, how easy it is to obtain services, and how well providers communicate with patients.
With the largest HHCAHPS benchmark in the nation, SHP is in a unique position to identify and recognize organizations that have made patient satisfaction a priority and have been rewarded for their efforts with high marks on the HHCAHPS survey. Information in CAHPS surveys is a useful resource in evaluating care providers based on experiences other patients and families have had.
“SHP is proud to partner with so many organizations that put a high value on providing quality patient care, and we are honored to recognize the hard work and dedication of our top-performing customers with the annual SHPBest awards. These organizations deserve to be celebrated for their commitment to achieving new levels of excellence each and every year,” said Kevin Vogel, President of SHP.
This award marks the second year that Lake Prince At Home has been designated a Premier Performer. While eleven other Virginia providers were ranked in the top 20 percent, only Lake Prince At Home achieved the top 5 percent. This recognition is testimony to the quality care that Lake Prince At Home provides and to the organization’s emphasis on delivering patient and family satisfaction.
“It’s incredibly gratifying to boost the quality of life for people when it matters most, and we take great pride in treating our patients with dignity, respect, and consideration,” said Brandi Spivey, administrator for Lake Prince At Home. “We always strive to improve their outlook and day-to-day moments, so knowing that we’ve made a difference – as they acknowledge through these surveys – is the best reward. We love caring for them.”
