Phoebe Communities Named Among the Best Older Adult Communities in Pennsylvania

In rankings prepared by Newsweek magazine, Phoebe Ministries, based in Allentown, Pa., has been named among the best older communities in Pennsylvania.

Newsweek and Statista partnered to rank America’s Best Nursing Homes. The top nursing homes were assessed and ranked based on four pillars: performance data, recommendations of medical professionals, accreditations, and resident satisfaction

This year’s list recognizes 1,050 nursing homes across 25 states. Split into three groups based on occupancy, in the category of nursing homes with 100-149 beds, Phoebe Berks ranked 5th in Pennsylvania, and Phoebe Richland ranked 2nd in the state. In the category of nursing homes with more than 150 beds, Phoebe Allentown ranked 23rd in the state.

This year, for the first time, Newsweek and Statista also ranked America’s Best Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs). Phoebe’s CCRCs allow residents to live independently with future access to Phoebe’s full range of health services, including priority admission to a local Phoebe campus. For the first year of rankings by Newsweek, Phoebe Allentown also was ranked 179th Best Continuing Care Retirement Community in the country and 17th in the state.
