Into the Deep: Reclaiming Strength in Uncertain Times at CHHSM’s 87th Annual Gathering

When unprecedented change becomes routine, sustaining the work of service can feel thankless, unappreciated, and overwhelming. In uncertain times like these, it is essential for us to come together and lean on the strength of our faith and on each other. It is in this spirit of faith and service that I invite you all to CHHSM’s 87th Annual Gathering, March 11-13, 2025, in Boston/Cambridge, Mass., an opportunity to reconnect with your purpose, to deepen your ministry’s impact, and to emerge with fresh energy and innovative strategies that can carry you through the challenging times ahead. 

Our theme, “Into the Deep: Casting Nets of Justice,” is an invitation for all of us to move beyond the familiar and boldly face this uncertain season, trusting that when we step forward in faith, standing on truth, we will be met with abundance.

Each year, I witness the transformative power of this gathering. The conversations in the hallways, the wisdom shared in the workshops, the relationships formed over shared meals — these are the moments that remind us we are not alone in this work; that we are part of a larger movement, a collective of leaders who believe that justice and compassion must be at the heart of health and human services. Whether you lead a housing initiative, serve older adults, or provide vital healthcare, this gathering will equip you with tools and networks to sustain and grow your ministry.

This year’s gathering will challenge us to take bold steps.
