United Church Funds Releases Article on Asset Allocation of Investments
A new article on asset allocation as a crucial component of a portfolio’s overall investment return has been authored by two United Church Funds staff members.
The article, Global Equity Diversification — Proving Its Worth, is by David Klassen, Chief Investment Strategist, and Michael de Guzman, Senior Portfolio Manager. It points out the proof behind United Church Funds’ recommendation of the importance of global equity diversification as a prudent investment practice.
“Last April, we made the case for global diversification as a prudent investment practice,” the authors state in the article. “At the time, U.S. equities had outpaced global markets over several years. In 2017 there has been a dramatic reversal, beneficial to United Church Funds’ portfolios, as global equities have done better than U.S. stocks alone.”
