CHHSM Announces Peer Survey, Formation of Presidents Circle to Inform Future CHHSM Programming, Resources
CHHSM is initiating two new endeavors aimed at increasing member participation and engagement and expand the future vision of the organization: an engagement survey and a Presidents Circle.
The short survey was created by Zaria Davis, CHHSM’s engagement coordinator, and will go out to peer-level colleagues at CHHSM agencies.
“At CHHSM, fostering meaningful connections and collaboration among our agencies is a top priority,” said Jamar Doyle, president and CEO of CHHSM. “To further this goal, Zaria’s survey will be distributed to peers within our member agencies who share similar roles. This survey is designed to gather insights that will guide Zaria’s efforts in enhancing engagement across our network, particularly through the development and support of our affinity groups.”
The survey is intended to both explore how to build out member involvement and allow Davis to learn more about CHHSM’s more than 400 agencies and organizations across the country.
After the results have been analyzed, CHHSM staff will examine themes that arise in the data. Davis also is holding a series of one-on-one conversations with various staff at CHHSM organizations. Those conversations also will inform the survey analysis.
“Change is often hard, especially as we move through so many transitions, from post-COVID adjustments to staffing transitions,” Davis added. “It’s critical to actively hear from CHHSM members, and to discuss how CHHSM may support them.”
The survey includes questions about current involvement of respondents in CHHSM-related activities, as well as visioning for future programs and resources.
Presidents Circle to Further Mission of CHHSM
The new Presidents Circle will be composed of Doyle, along with executive directors, presidents, and CEOs from various CHHSM agencies. This group will convene on a regular basis, providing a dedicated and safe space for leaders to discuss opportunities and challenges, share effective strategies, and build deeper, more meaningful relationships with one another.
“I am thrilled to announce the formation of the Presidents Circle,” Doyle said. “This new group will not only serve as a platform for ongoing dialogue between the leadership of CHHSM agencies and me, but will also be a trusted space where we can collaboratively address our shared challenges and explore innovative opportunities. By fostering these deeper connections, we can ensure that we remain closely aligned in our mission and continue to support each other in our important work.”
Both initiatives stress the need for consistent communication and vision sharing among CHHSM staff and member organizations at all levels of interaction. Doyle believes the survey and circle will help accomplish those goals.
“We believe that both the survey and the Presidents Circle will play crucial roles in strengthening the bonds without our CHHSM community,” Doyle added, “and we look forward to your participation and feedback.”
