EveryAge Acquires Senior Living Community in High Point, N.C.

EveryAge — based in Newton, N.C. — announced Oct. 1, 2024, that it completed the acquisition of Providence Place, an existing not-for-profit retirement community as well as two adjacent commercial properties. Providence Place retirement community is located on 27.2 acres in High Point, N.C., approximately 10 miles from EveryAge’s Piedmont Crossing community in Thomasville, N.C.

On Aug. 1, 2024, EveryAge entered into an asset purchase agreement for the acquisition. Providence Place currently operates and will continue to operate 160 independent living rental units, 90 assisted living beds, and 129 skilled nursing beds. The commercial properties that are part of the acquisition continue to provide leasable space to outside businesses.

Providence Place was founded by First Wesleyan Church in 1978, and EveryAge is committed to their original vision of providing living options for seniors in a caring, Christian environment,” shared Lee Syria, EveryAge president and CEO.

EveryAge is working with the team at Providence Place to ensure a seamless transition. The goal is to continue to provide services to residents and to support and encourage employees. Active recruitment is underway for an executive director. Aimee Reimann, EveryAge’s COO, will step into this role temporarily. With the addition of Providence Place, EveryAge now operates 1,335 senior living units across four communities in North Carolina and southeastern Virginia.

The acquisition was assisted by CHHSM partner Ziegler, presenting sponsor of CHHSM’s 2025 Annual Gathering and the U.S.’  leading underwriter of financing for not-for-profit senior living providers.
