LeadingAge Webinar to Address Resident Life Safety
LeadingAge, an association of nonprofit senior services that advocates for quality senior services and car, has announced a new webinar, taking place Tuesday, April 24, from 2-3 p.m. The cost is $99.
The webinar will address the increased enforcement of fire and life safety policies that have resulted in many misinterpretations of implementation requirements for senior care. Experts will address CMS regulations that impact the security, safety and clinical needs of residents and outline what nursing home and hospice providers can do to ensure compliance with new and upcoming life safety code guidance.
Nursing home providers, hospice providers and life plan communities with health care centers that are surveyed by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to determine compliance are encouraged to attend, especially those who fall under one or more of the following job duties: Nursing home administrators, policy and legal, education, plant operations directors, Directors of Nursing, compliance officers, executive directors, facility managers and directors, COOs, and quality improvement operations.
Highlighting the webinar will be speakers Eric Rosenbaum, vice president of Jensen Hughes and a registered fire protection engineer with more than 20 years experience; and David Hood, principal & director of healthcare operations for RPA, a Jensen Hughes company. Hood is a past chair of the National Fire Protection Association Health Care Section Executive Board.
