Plymouth Place Launches ‘Plymouth at Home’ to Provide Catered Personal Assistance for Local Residents

Plymouth Place, a vibrant continuing care retirement community in LaGrange Park, Ill., launched a new service on July 15 called “Plymouth at Home.” An extension of its Plymouth Place brand, Plymouth at Home will offer local residents comprehensive care, home management and home improvement solutions.

“Plymouth at Home is another fulfillment of the Plymouth Place mission to serve the greater community,” said Jay Biere, CEO of Plymouth Place. “Plymouth at Home is backed by the strength of our community and partners, and will provide local residents the support they need to live comfortably and confidently in their own homes.”

Situated on a 17-acre wooded campus recently designated as a Status 1 Arboretum, Plymouth Place offers its more than 400 residents myriad residential, entertainment, activity, and care options. Plymouth at Home now offers local residents the exceptional home improvement and in-home care services that are provided on the Plymouth Place campus. With one phone call to Plymouth at Home, families will receive an in-home visit and a tailored plan to fit their needs, helping families navigate evolving care for their loved ones.

“We think of Plymouth at Home as providing the same exemplary care model that we are committed to at Plymouth Place,” said Chris Irvine, LNHA and senior director of rehab and wellness at Plymouth Place. “Our established professional teams and partners know what it takes to provide local residents with a healthy and thriving life at home.”

Personal care management services provided by Plymouth Place’s trusted and vetted partners include:

  • Comprehensive consultation
  • Caregiver support and care management
  • Assistance with activities of daily living
  • Regular scheduled visits
  • Insurance coordination and bill paying
  • Housing options
  • Nursing and therapy referrals

“We are thrilled to bring the built-in support system of Plymouth Place to our local residents and neighbors,” said Gina LaPalio-Lakin, CEO and owner of Wisdom Eldercare, the preferred personal care management partner of Plymouth Place. “We want people to know they can be part of our community of care even if they don’t live at Plymouth Place.”

Home improvement services are also critical to ensuring people can safely and comfortably remain in their homes. Plymouth at Home goes beyond providing personal care and offers professional design and build services ranging from aging-in-place home modifications to complete home remodeling – all provided by Silver Age Homes, a Plymouth Place partner company.

Home services include:

  • Home safety inspections
  • Age-in-place modifications
  • Repairs and handyman services
  • Remodeling and additions
  • Design consultations
  • Smart Home solutions
  • Property management

“We are privileged to serve the wonderful residents in Plymouth Place and are excited to extend these services into our broader community,” said Michael McCartney, owner of Silver Age Homes. “Leveraging the collective skills and resources of Silver Age with Plymouth and partner companies will provide a significant positive impact for many individuals and families.”

The comprehensive offering provided by Plymouth at Home is unmatched and sets a new standard of care in the industry.

“Plymouth at Home residents will receive the same high level of customer service in their own homes with this program,” said David Leamer, client care relations manager at Plymouth Place. “With one phone call, families can have all their home care questions answered by a trusted advisor.”
