Meredith Schell Fields

The Board of Directors of United Church of Christ Homes (UCC Homes) in Camp Hill, Pa., announced in February the selection of Meredith Schell Fields as UCC Homes’ new president and CEO. Schell Fields has a long tenure with UCC Homes. Prior to her new role, she served as executive director of UCC Homes’ The Lebanon Valley Home in Annville, Pa. From 2010 to 2014, she was UCC Homes’ corporate compliance administrator.

Schell Fields is a licensed nursing home administrator and personal care home administrator, and is nationally certified as a healthcare compliance professional. Additionally, she has worked directly in long-term care, including key compliance positions, for the past 28 years.

“I respect UCC Homes’ mission-driven environment that encourages building and maintaining strong, healthy teams and providing a quality experience for residents, families, and staff through a foundation of love, compassion, integrity and faith,” she said.

Schell Fields has a B. S. degree in dietetics and nutrition from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a special programs licensure for nursing home administrators from York (Pa.) College. She lives in Lebanon, Pa., with her husband, Dan, and two children.

Harvey to Lead Lebanon Valley Home

In Schell Fields’ stead, Catherine Harvey has been named the new executive director of The Lebanon Valley Home. Harvey, who has worked for 29 years in long term care, is a licensed nursing administrator and is certified as a healthcare compliance professional. Prior to her new role, she was corporate compliance administrator for UCC Homes.

Harvey brings 29 years of experience in long term care, working in various departments such as activities, social services, admissions and marketing, nursing home administration, and compliance. She is a licensed nursing home administrator and is certified as a healthcare compliance professional. Prior to being selected as Executive Director, Harvey served over six years as the Corporate Compliance Administrator for UCC Homes. She has a  bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Connecticut and is a member of LeadingAge and the Health Care Compliance Association.

“I am honored to be part of such a great organization who value their residents, employees, families, and community and who share a similar passion for providing quality of care to our residents,” Harvey said. “I am excited to be part of the team at The Lebanon Valley Home.”

Harvey resides in Lebanon County, Pa., and has three children.

The UCC Homes board also has appointed Ron Gourley as vice president and CFO of UCC Homes. He assumed his new role in September 2024.

Gourley, previously the senior accountant for UCC Homes for 24-1/2 years, succeeded Larry Kilpatrick, who retired after a 26-year tenure with the organization. Gourley has a B.S. degree in accounting from Penn State University. He and his wife, Stephanie, reside in Hershey, Pa.
