St. Andrew’s Resources for Seniors System Names Holman New President and CEO
William ‘Bill’ Holman is the new president and CEO of St. Andrew’s Resources for Seniors System, Inc., an older adults care organization offering residential and assisted living, skilled nursing, memory care, home care and management services through 18 older adult living communities and programs across the St. Louis area. The announcement was made Oct. 26, 2021, by St. Andrew’s board.
Holman begins work Jan. 1, 2022. His predecessor, Mary Alice Ryan, retires Dec. 31, 2021, after 38 years of service.
Holman has held executive leadership positions in senior living organizations for more than 20 years, most recently as CEO of the Ginger Cove life care community in Annapolis, Md. Originally from Maryland, Holman also served as adjunct assistant professor with the Erickson School of Aging Services at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, from 2010 to 2019. His time at Erickson included three years as chair of the graduate program. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA). Holman has B.S. degrees in finance and accounting, and an M.S. degree in management in aging services.
“I am well aware of the growth and success of St. Andrew’s Resources for Seniors System and am very excited to lead this outstanding organization into the future,” Holman said. “My family and I look forward to making St. Louis our new home.”
St Andrew’s conducted a national search to identify the new president and CEO. “We were very pleased with the strong interest in our CEO position and had a significant number of well qualified individuals who were considered by our search committee,” said Board Chair Karen Branding. “Bill Holman rose to the top and was our unanimous choice. We are all delighted to have Bill join the St. Andrew’s Resources for Seniors System family and our outstanding team.”
Holman’s predecessor, Ryan, has been instrumental in the success of St. Andrew’s. Under Ryan’s leadership, the organization has grown from two communities serving 300 seniors to 18 communities and home and community service programs touching the lives of more than 8,700 older adults and their caregivers each year, and employing more than 1,100 staff. St. Andrew’s Resources for Seniors System is the 12th largest nonprofit organization in the St. Louis area.
